On Saturday May 10, the Waterford Public Library is participating in the first Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce Family Fest, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM! Family members signing up for a new library card on that Saturday will receive a bookmark and seed packet to go with our May theme: Families that Read Together, Grow Together. We will also be offering a craft that the whole family makes together; that will then be displayed in the Children’s Area during the month of May.
And as part of a grant received by the Waterford Library, family members of all ages will be able to play together on our new Nintendo Wii system. In the game of Charge! you ride a cow and head for the goal as you knock over scarecrows in the process. This two-player racing game is fun and appropriate for family members ages 3-99! There may be a waiting list or sign-up sheet at the door depending on the number of people in attendance. Please stop in at the library on that day to sign up for Family Wii time.
